Registering Sole Proprietor / Individual Merchant in Latvia
Sole Proprietorship or Individual Merchant is a physical person who conducts economic activities.Physical person who runs Sole Proprietorship is fully responsible for SO liabilities with all his/her own property.
Sole proprietorship / Individual Merchant has a title and a registration number.
If one wish to register Sole Proprietorship there is necessary following information:
- Title of the Individual Merchant
- Legal address of the Individual Merchant
- Information on the Individual Merchant - name, surname, personal code, passport data and place of residence
- Title of the Individual Merchant
- Legal address of the Individual Merchant
- Information on the Individual Merchant - name, surname, personal code, passport data and place of residence
Expenses for registering the Sole Proprietorship/ Individual Merchant:
- state tax for registering a Sole Proprietorship – 20 Ls
- payment for publication of registering Sole Proprietorship in the official paper „Latvijas Vēstnesis” – 16 Ls
- payment for notary certification of signature – starting from 10 Ls (depends on the pricing of the notaries)
